How does it work?
RSM McGladrey Remote Desktop Assistance is available by appointment only, scheduled with your RSM McGladrey consultant.
Using this assistance with your representative on the phone will be just like having the consultant there! Your consultant can see everything you see and address your issues at that time.
Here's how to get live computer help right on your desktop:
- First of all, make sure you have an appointment with your RSM McGladrey consultant. If you need immediate assistance, please start by calling your consultant so we can initiate our part of the session before you connect.
- Close any applications or documents containing private or sensitive information. You may also want to close other chat applications so the support session will not be interrupted.
- Return to the RDA home page. Type your name then click the GO button to begin your session.
- Get the quick download. The screen-sharing plug-in automatically downloads onto your computer.
- Your consultant will see you log in and join you in a chat. When you give us permission, we'll connect to your computer to see what is on your screen.
- If the situation calls for it, we may also ask permission to share your keyboard and mouse. You can take back control at any time.
- When the session is over, you can save the contents of the Chat window for future reference.
How does it work? The screen-sharing plug-in lets both you and your RSM McGladrey Consultant communicate via a Chat window, see your computer screen, share your mouse and keyboard and draw on your screen using the special Whiteboard feature.
